Week 2 Homework: Inking The Scape

Answer the following questions. Do not repeat answers of the students above you or you will lose points.

1. Give one (1) example of another "open source" software.

2. "Inkscape" is a unique name for a graphics program. It evokes significant imagery and is catchy. It comes from the words "ink" and "landscape", which, it can be considered, are related to computer graphics in a way.

Come up with your own creative, original name for a graphics program.

    2. Computerized Cooking, is a program that allows anyone to combine virtually any food in existence to create their own food which they will name.

  2. 1. One example of a open source program are GIMP which is a image editing software that like Inkscape and Photoshop with some of the same features as both of these programs. This program provides best of both worlds.
    2. Bitcoin is a peer-peer program that allows transactions, as the name says the "Bit" is to computers as in images and the "coin" part is too the money in the transaction.

    2. From the two words "trend" and "editor" I created the word, Trendeditor.

  4. 1) An example of another "open source" software may be PhotoFiltre. This is a software where you are able to enhance the visual photos by editing them the way you want to. You are able to add additional special effects and create them into something much more interesting than what they started off as.
    2)By using the words "creative" and "imagination" i created the word, "Crea-gination." In a way, using the computer/technical devices to create graphics is using your imagination and creativity. Therefore, i chose this name for my graphics program.

  6. 1. An example of an open source program is Kodu which is a game designer program.
    2. If I where to name a for a program like ink scape i would call it Fluercytes. I would Call it this because Fleur in french and in English cyte means cell. The flower represents the possible beauty of your creation and cell as in it is needed and work efficiently.

  7. 1) Another "open source" software is Google SketchUp 8. This program is somewhat similar t Inkscape, except you get to build 3D models.
    2)If I were to come up with a program similar to Inkscape, I would name it Dreamers. I would name it this because you are able to make anything that you can imagine. From 2D shapes to 3D shapes in any color, any size

  8. 1) Inkscape is a type of "open source" software, another example is Kivio. This program allows people to make charts and diagrams with ease.
    2)There is so many creative names to name a software, but if I had the chance to name one, I would name it YourWay. I would like this software to have all the characteristics of Photoshop, Inkscape, and Google SketchUp so that way you can make something that is truly your way.

    2) If I had the chance to create my own "open source" software name it would be YourWorld, because you can basically create anything you want and imagine. This means that when you start creating these things you would be in your own little world and expanding your imagination.

  11. 1) An 'open source' program would be Photoshop. This is a website that you can use to edit your photos.
    2) I think a good name for Inkscape would be Digi-art . This is because digi stands for digital. So that would be like calling it digital-art. And when something is digital it has to do with numbers and/or computers.

  12. 1)Splashup is another example of an "open source" software. It is a photo editing program that can be used for both professional and novice use.
    2)I believe "Imagi-pic" would be a great name for a photo editing/creating program, because it fuses the words "imagine" with "picture." This software would enable anyone to splatter their imagination in a picture form.

  13. 1) Another example of an "open source" software is Kino. Kino is a software that allows people to record and edit videos that were made by themselves or others.
    2) I believe a good name for a graphics program would be "artsigner". This name would originate from art and designer, which is very plain and simple to understand. Thus resulting in more people using it. It would certainly be a good name

  14. 1) Another example of an "open source" software is Pidgin. Which is an open source software that allows you to combine and use all your instant messaging contacts

    2) Another unique yet original name for a graphics program would be "Blueart" blueart is derived from the two words blue print and art. Basically, a blue print is a technical drawing usually deals with architecture design and everybody knows whats art. Its unique because a blue print is creating a drawing but adding the word art makes it seem less technical. Its like making a design of artwork.

  15. 1) Another example of an "open source" software is Google Chrome, which is a type of internet browser, like Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

    2)Another unique name for a graphic is "Vectorific", which is derived from a combination of the words vector and terrific.

  16. 1. One open source program is Mozilla Firefox which is an internet browser.

    2.My own creative name for a graphics program would be "Virtual Paint". I got this from the fact that in a graphics program you are using virtual graphics and you are in a way "painting" things onto the canvas. So, it would be a virtual picture that is "made with paint" on the computer.

    2. My creative name for a graphics program would be Rainfall because it means you freestyle design all of your incoming ideas on a program and make GIFs out of them.

  19. 1. Another open source program would be AndroidSDK, this program allows you to create software and test it on a simulated android device.
    2.The name for my graphic arts program would be CreationGod, because you can create so many things with it, it's almost like you have god-like powers.
